And we're the horses on the carousel

white. bleak. still. dead
never moving. never changing
always decaying
Objects of someone else's happiness
.............................................................
empty eyes. fake smile. chipped off paint
from a self that was never whole
.............................................................
always staring. yearning
for a world of which we will never be part of
